Sea Gate
Bonfire & S’mores
Marty shuttled everyone over to the little island right across from our docks, which made for a very convenient and short trip. Thanks to club member Brooks Gallagher for building the fire! Once the fire got going it was time to chat and eat some s’mores. A few club members new to the area and club joined the excursion, which was a great way to meet new people. What better way to be welcomed to a new place than a perfect night by the water. The sunset was great, and even when the sun went down the temperature was just right! Once the sun set it was time to make some s’mores. We enjoyed discussing the perfect s’mores technique, and learning how everyone thinks is best. Overall, it was a fun and very relaxed event. What a great way to welcome fall and cooler temperatures. At the end of the night the moon peeked over the horizon which provided a great backdrop for our ride back to the marina. Thanks to everyone who came out, and big thanks to Mark McIntyre for taking some awesome photos! Hope to see you at the next event!
Bonfire & S’mores
Guests set out into the marshes in search of the perfect oyster, rubber boots and waders ready for the adventure. It felt a little like hunting for Easter eggs, with everyone exploring the shoreline, learning along the way, and enjoying fresh oysters right from the source.
After the excursion, the group came together for an oyster roast and true dock-to-dish experience. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and snacks were also available for anyone who preferred something different. Between the marsh walk, fresh seafood, and time spent by the water, it was a great day of local flavor and good company.
